The lovely lady Eleanor has arrived! I picked an earlier picture of her to draw from because, let’s be honest..as she got older..she got a bit…rough.
Pen with marker for the hair.
One of my top break up songs. Most Definately.
Don’t call me at work again, no no, the boss still hates me. I’m just tired and I don’t love you anymore; by the way, there’s a restaurant we should check out where the other nightmare people like to go- I meant nice people! Baby wait, I didn’t mean to say nightmare.
Portrait of my dad. He looks very intimidating no?
Once again, this is done on masonite with colored pencil!
Hoorah!
He looks into your soul with his super adorable eyes.
You can’t say no!
I love this little guy, and I believe you should love him too!
Acrylic, on Canvas with Paint pen
Why Hello Multicolored Moose, How are you today?
Oh you’re fine? Excellent! I’m glad you are doing so well!
This is part of my new series I’ve started. I’m loving it!
Acrylic, on Canvas with paint pen!
Newest Portrait of my little sister. I love this one tremendously. This one is done completely done in colored pencil and then sealed with a gloss medium on masonite!
Hoorah. I love this one.
Miss Faith! I had the hardest time with this one. I had to redo her face so many times! But eventually, by george, I figured it out!!
Miss Raina! Mixing it up with the background! Butterflies leaving the frame! STRANGE! I’m A MAD WOMAN! haha.
Miss Emily! This one I had fun with (I really have fun with all of them. Haha) because I manipulated the image a bit. Changed up the hairstyle and gave her a fantastic collar! I was inspired to use these colors in the background because I went to a candle store and checked out all the different candle color pairings. Gotta look for inspiration in the oddest places, don’tcha know!
How did I do this one, you ask? Well I would be obliged to tell you!
First! Masonite! Then I busted out my prismacolor colored pencils and went buck wild on it! Crazy lady style for the portrait. Then to make the colors pop, I sealed the colored pencil with a gloss medium. I also did the background with acrylic, the design for the background I took from plants that I saw on my walk.
